I had the pleasure of spending time with the Jackson family this past Saturday morning. We enjoyed the Fall air and then explored their lovely home. Clarke is very well behaved for a 9-month-old, although he likes to save his smiles for when the camera is not there.
The rain was just unfair with its timing, but we had a fun shoot anyway. Nicholas and his parents explored the Lincoln Park Conservatory while I created images. I really enjoy spending time with this family… and soon there will be another one to add to the mix! Check out how much Nicholas has grown over time:
I could not have been more honored to shoot the wedding of Brie & Doc. I have known these two climbers for quite some time now and I can’t put in words how much happiness it brought friends, family, and myself to watch them tie the knot (insert rock-climber rope joke here…) On a mountain top in Lake George, these two fantastic individuals partied into the night celebrating their love. Because this event was so special, I picked more images than usual for the blog… so I’m presenting it in slideshow format:
I was thrilled when Rebecca, a former classmate of mine, asked me to photograph her downtown Chicago wedding. After fun meetings over beer, the big day finally arrived! It was so enjoyable to capture the moments of two people so obviously meant for one another. They also had some pretty awesome friends and their dog Betty to help them celebrate their beautiful wedding!

While I was home a few weeks ago, I was able to spend a day in one of my all time favorite cities: New York. This time I brought along my (still somewhat new) D800. Check out a few of my snapshots:
