I had the great opportunity to photograph headshots for L’Occitane this past week. Michele is both a trainer for the company as well as a spokesperson.  She managed to effortlessly become comfortable in front of the camera as we walked around beautiful Lincoln Park.  I think I am really growing to love taking headshots.

So I have some amazing friends that partake in an a capella group called Invox. I had the great fortune of capturing a few headshots and groups shots before their recent performance in Chicago. It was a quick shoot, but I had fun nonetheless.  They are a talented group of singers, so you should check them out – not to mention that they are an incredibly fun group of individuals.

Rena had her Bat-Mitzvah rehearsal on August 26th in the lovely town of Evanston.  I had the pleasure of snapping a few images of the charismatic Rena and her delightful family.  The weather was nice, so after capturing some photographs indoors we escaped into the sunshine.  Rena has an impressive character that I enjoy every moment of the photoshoot.  Her family was incredibly friendly as well, which made working with them a pleasure.

“Birds of a feather flock together”.  Two of my very close and very fun friends got hitched in Knoxville, TN on August 6th.  These friends of mine met playing ultimate frisbee, and so, of course, they had some fantastic guests at their wedding.  It was such an honor that these friends of mine chose to have me photograph their special day.  I am so close to these images and these people that I had a difficult time narrating the story in a few images, so I made a slideshow to illustrate the entire day.  I love you guys… Mr. & Mrs. Bird.

Just a few years ago I photographed the wedding of Julie and Gus, and just a couple of years ago I took pictures of their daughter Lucy. (I was inspired to look back, so below I have included a few from Lucy’s photo shoot.)  Then last month I had the pleasure of spending time with this lovely family once again in celebration of the birth of their son Frederick.  He is a very calm baby with gorgeous blue eyes, and did a marvelous job looking into the lens.
