On the evening of October 2, 2010, my close friends Cathy and Joe celebrated their marriage with friends and family at the Tasting Room in Chicago.  In addition to the wonderful choices of catered food that the Tasting Room had to offer, Cathy did a ridiculously amazing job baking cupcakes and cakes for everyone to enjoy.  The detailed work put in by my friends into their dinner event was outstanding. (If you couldn’t tell, these awesome friends of mine have a significant love for cycling, food, ultimate.) There was no choice but to take delight in the fact that Cathy and Joe managed to gather a amazing group of people in one room to celebrate the occasion.

My friends are incredibly sneaky.  On May 2, 2010 my good friends Cathy and Joe wandered downtown early in the morning to get married without telling anyone (but me)! I met them after they said their “I do”s and we walked around Millennium Park to commemorate the day. These friends of mine are two of the best matched people I have ever met.  It was an honor to capture their secretive day on which they became a married couple, especially because I knew I would get to photograph their wedding party as well… after they tell everyone that they were hitched! And since these two lovebirds are such amazing foodies, the three of us ended a fantastic morning of photography with a delightful sushi lunch 🙂

June 12, 2010 was the wedding of Shawna and Jeff.  We managed to take photographs in a very nice park right before a storm rolled in.  Luckily, Shawna and Jeff are extremely easy going individuals and enjoyed every moment of their special day.  It was also a nice surprise to see Michelle and Andy (a bride and groom I photographed a year prior) there as guests.

One fine day last June, Nishi, Vivek, and I walked around Lincoln Park and to the waterfront of Lake Michigan.  We were on a mission to take engagement photos for their wedding’s guest book.  They were to be married in NJ, but wanted some Chicago images to capture where they live now.  This wonderful couples are friends of some of my closest friends, and after this shoot I felt closer to them as well.  This couple pretty much kicks ass, and I know that I will continue to enjoy seeing how happy they are each time I see them.
